The Wonky Sessions: Volume 1
‘The Wonky Sessions: Volume 1’, the first compilation album from Wonky Plonky Electronk, brings together a remarkable collective of artists pushing the boundaries of sound. Featuring renowned and unconventional artists Mieko Shimizu, Dhangsha, Shape Navigator, Analogue Mechanic, and the late Gagarin, ‘The Wonky Sessions: Volume 1' is a bold exploration of experimental sound, weaving together intricate glitchy rhythms, immersive ambience, and absorbing sonic textures that stand firmly outside convention.
Mieko Shimizu's latest album bristles with quirky, dysfunctional beats and chimeric fusions. Her Tentacles are truly her own, for this free-spirited champion of outsider art pop. Described as "offbeat, unworldly" on its premiere in V13.
My Tentacles

Phenomena Of The Mind is a re-mastered Mieko Shimizu's EP of selected tracks from the album of the same title released in 2006, the year after the London Terror attacks. Something dispirited and unexplainable lay heavy in the air of this immense city that we lived and breathed.

The ‘Write to Be’ EP was inspired by the moment when Mieko Shimizu stumbled upon a tiny house in a doorway on the deserted streets of Soho during lockdown. She was moved by creativities power and asked three other artists from England, Germany and Poland to write songs about its ability to lift the spirit even in desperate circumstances and created ‘Write To Be’.
